You'd think that electro-punk terrors Crystal Castles don't play too well with other, but their latest, BNM'd self-titled effort has already been reworked by Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and No Age. The band's next collaborator is even more high-profile (and out of leftfield) than those previous two: The Cure's Robert Smith.
The irascible goth-rock king will lend his moody vocals to Crystal Castles cut "Not In Love", and will see release on December 6 via Fiction. The single will be backed by acoustic (!) demos of fellow album cuts "Celestica" and "Suffocation". So, yeah, safe to say that everything on this release will be a fascinating listen at the very least.
