Driver hits two cars, house in Aloha during early-morning crash

A man suspected of driving drunk crashed his car into two other vehicles before hitting the front of a house in Aloha early Saturday, authorities said.

Beaverton resident Patrick Bennett, 26, was driving a 2002 Honda on Southwest 211th Place when he collided with the cars, parked in the road. He then drove across the home's front yard and hit the house, prompting the homeowner to call police at 1:46 a.m. Saturday. The collision caused significant damage to the house and cars, authorities said. No one in the house was hurt.

After the crash, Bennett admitted he had consumed alcohol before driving, according to the

. He told deputies he remembered driving on Southwest 185th Avenue, but didn't know how he ended up on Southwest 211th Place, authorities said.

Bennett was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. He was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
