Fraternal Order Uses Same Violent Methods as Baltimore Police | nsnbc international: The Fraternal Order of Police cite a conflict of interest with William Murphy, the Gray’s civil defense attorney, contributing to Marilyn Mosby’s election campaign. His contribution of $1,000 is far short of the maximum allowed, and joins hundreds of other attorneys that contributed to her campaign. Gene Ryan of the FOP, who signed the letter, overlooks the $3,250 dollars that the FOP PAC contributed. If campaign contributions alone were responsible for a conflict of interest, then judges and State’s Attorneys would have to recuse themselves from each case brought before a court. In this instance, it is the FOP that appears to have the greater possibility of influence. Nick Mosby would not have much to lose. The FOP only contributed$750 to his campaign.
