Turner Kids’ pay-TV channel Boing France has acquired Galaxy Pop’s 52 x 11-minute adventure toon Get Ace in a deal brokered by the show’s distributor, 9 Story Media Group.

Boing joins a growing list of international broadcasters that have taken to Ace including ABC (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), TVE (Spain), E Junior (UAE) and Zoom (Israel).

Since making its television debut on Network Ten’s kid-focused digi-channel Eleven in Australia in 2014, the Aussie-produced series has achieved acclaim in its home country, winning first prize for best animation at the 2014 Australian Writers Guild Awards, and more recently, earning a nomination for best children’s television series at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards.

Created by Galaxy Pop founders Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, Get Ace follows the adventures of nerdy high school freshman Ace McDougal, who after being accidentally fitted with super hi-tech braces, is thrust into a world of espionage.

The latest deal comes after Network Ten commissioned a second season of Get Ace in February and announced that production on 52 new episodes will begin in June.
