Instead of moving north from Reno this past Tuesday we decided to stay another week due to rain and snow in our path in both Oregon and Idaho. Weather here in Reno was 66 degrees and bright blue skies. Ho-hum, we will sit it out. We don’t like driving in rain let alone snow.Reno in The DistanceToday we decided to take the Jeep and take the 26 miles drive from downtown Reno to the southeastern historical town of Virginia City, Nevada. While Reno’s elevation is about 4,500 feet Virginia City is at 6,150. It seem higher, because the road, which is excellent, has a lot of switch backs.
