Chelsea To Replace Filipe Luis With Valencia Left-Back

The Blues plan on snatching up Jose Luis Gaya who is also being eyed by Real Madrid and Manchester City. The 19 year old is Valencia’s most promising player and has already impressed the audiences with his consistency and on pitch maturity. Even if this is his first season performing as a La Liga regular, Gaya looks ready to take on a new challenge and fight for a spot in the Champions League’s history books. With a buy-out clause of around £13 million, the Spaniard definitely looks like an investment worth making. According to the Daily Mail, Gaya might be heading to the Premier League this summer regardless of the interest shown by Real. It is to be seen if Mourinho manages to work his magic and convince the left-back to move to London. With Chelsea planning on changing up the defense line for the seasons to come, Gaya might be an excellent starting point next to Zouma.

The Spaniard could be used on the left which will allow Azpilicueta to return to his old position on the right. With Zouma and very possibly Varane down the middle, Chelsea would have a young all-star defense which will surely be one of the hardest to defeat. With players like Terry and Cahill around, the new arrivals would learn a lot and will have all the support needed to become great players just as Chelsea’s two current central defenders are.
