Chelsea To Meet Khedira’s Financial Expectation

Chelsea To Meet Khedira’s Financial Expectation

Mourinho looks keen on working with Khedira once more after their previous experience at the Bernabeu. The Portuguese boss is rumored to have agreed to meet the midfielder’s expectations which represented one of the defining factors in his next destination. With the 27 year old set to leave Spain this summer when his contract expires, Chelsea are willing to pay him £100,000 per week. According to Metro, negotiations are going in the right direction for the Londoners who are first in line to sign Khedira. Arsenal and Schalke have also been linked to the German international but chances are he will pick Chelsea.

Wenger is also a big admirer of the midfielder and could promise him a spot in the Gunners’ starting eleven. Fortunately for Chelsea, Khedira seems to have a pretty tight relationship with Mourinho, so tight that he might even get passed the fact that competition with Matic and Fabregas will be fierce. The 27 year old could end up in a similar situation to that which determined him not to extend his contract with Real Madrid. It will be hard for him to find a spot in the starting squad as Matic looks better and better with each game. Ramires is also in great shape managing a total of 30 appearances for the club this season. Despite all that it would be great for the Blues to have the option of choosing between Matic, Khedira, Ramires and Fabregas.
