Hotel fire: Guests were evacuated from a Lincoln village hotel after a fire broke out on the ground floor.

Guests were evacuated from a Lincoln village hotel after a fire broke out on the ground floor.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to Branston Hall hotel in Branston village at 11.42am on Wednesday, March 4 after reports that a fire had broken out.

Two crews from Lincoln South attended the incident and used a hydraulic platform to tackle the blaze. They were then joined by a crew from Lincoln North.

It is believed that the fire started in a cloakroom. No injuries have been reported.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say that the last crew left at around 4pm.

The hotel was reported to have carried out its own evacuation procedure, with guests being relocated to other hotels in Lincoln.
