Snowmobiler injured, airlifted.

FREE SOIL TWP. — A 57-year-old Ludington man was airlifted by AeroMed helicopter from the scene of a snowmobile crash this afternoon.

The man’s sled struck a tree near the intersection of Hasenbank and Schoenherr Roads.

Free Soil/Mease Fire Dept., Grant Two. Fire Dept., Life EMS, Michigan Dept. Of Natural Resources and Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. 

According to responders, the man is in serious condition with possible internal injuries.
