ISIS Sells Looted Heritage of Iraq and Syria in “e-Bay”

ISIS terrorist organization has displayed antiquities seized in Iraq and Syria, for sale through "eBay" site.

According to "Times" The costume pieces of metal and ceramic seized by ISIS terrorists organization found their way to buyers in the Persian Gulf through the criminal gangs, pointing out that the sales process is often done through electronic sites.

Trade in antiquities has become highly lucrative for ISIS organization, as it is believed to have made millions of dollars.

Five of the six archaeological sites on the list of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" for Heritage in Syria were looted by the terrorists of the organization.

The amount of antiquities that are for sale after looting them from Syria and Iraq have caused the decline in prices of some sectors of the antiquities market.

Data from the US Customs Service show that the antiquities that reach into the United States from Iraq and Syria have doubled in the period between 2011 and 2013.

Spokesman of "e-Bay" saying that they "raised some of the cases offered for sale on the site, on the recommendation of the American authorities”
