51st Circuit Court sentencings include larceny, drug and CSC convictions

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in 51st Circuit Court:

Passarelli

– Adam Lee Passarelli, 26, of 2722 W. US-10, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 20 of larceny in a building. He was sentenced March 3 to 270 days in jail with credit for 133 days served; serve five months up front/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; and $598 in fines and costs.

Bell

– Laurie Lynn Bell, 50, of 308 N. James St., Apt. 3, Ludington, pleaded no contest Jan. 20  to controlled substance, delivery/manufacture schedule 4. She was sentenced March 3 to one year in jail with credit for 118 days served; serve five months up front/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $878 in fines, costs and restitution. Restitution is joint and several with co-defendant Jeffrey Ruric Cobb. A second count of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture schedule 4 was dismissed.

Cobb

– Jeffrey Ruric Cobb, 51, of 408 N. James St., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 20  of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture schedule 4. He was sentenced March 3 to one year in jail with credit for 123 days served; serve four months up front/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; driver’s license suspended 60 days/restricted 305 days; and $878 in fines, costs and restitution. Restitution is joint and several with co-defendant Laurie Lynn Bell. A second count of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture schedule 4, and habitual offender, second conviction, were dismissed.

Nowaczyk

– Dean Andrew Nowaczyk, 47, of 6384 Martin Rd., Norton Shores, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC)/incest. He was sentenced March 3 to one year in jail with credit for one day served; work release must meet Mason County Sheriff’s Office guidelines; five years probation; and $198 in fines and costs. Two counts of second-degree CSC – person under 13 were dismissed. The case is concurrent to another file in which he pleaded no contest to the same charge of fourth-degree CSC/incest and received the same sentence, except his fines and costs total $698. Related story here
