Women’s Hockey Remains At No. 6 In USCHO, No. 7 In D3 Hockey Posted on January 26th, 2015 by

ST. PETER, MINN. – Following a series sweep over Saint Mary’s University this past Friday and Saturday, the Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team has maintained its No. 6 and No. 7 rankings in the most recent USCHO and D3 women’s hockey polls, respectively, that were released Monday.

Gustavus earned two one-goal victories over the Cardinals over the weekend, including a back and forth 3-2 win on Friday in Saint Peter and a 1-0 nail-biter on Saturday in Winona. Out of the four goals the Gusties scored on the weekend, three were power play goals.

The USCHO poll remained identical to last week’s, with the exception of UW-Superior being added to the No. 10 spot alongside Bowdoin College. The D3Hockey poll also remained similar, as four teams switched places in the poll, but no new teams were added.
