‘Assassination Classroom' Anime Gets Key Visual And New Trailer [VIDEO], Release Date Set For January 2015

There's plenty of updates pouring out of the 2015 Jump Festa, and the latest comes from the anime adaptation about a teacher who has promised to destroy all of his students at the end of the year.

That is, unless the students manage to kill him first.

An all new key visual and full length trailer was released for "Assassination Classroom" at the 2015 Jump Festa in Japan. Fans can check out the visual and the full length trailer below before the anime airs next month. It should be noted that Funimation plans on simulcasting the series for U.S. fans, so no need to worry about missing all the action when it starts.

So far, fans have reacted positively to all the new announcements and material regarding "Assassination Classroom."

"‘Assassination Classroom' is made by Matsui Yusei, my most favorite mangaka, and having this manga animated was something I really looked forward to for next year," commented fan Diamondstarz8 on the official Funimation blog. "AND NOW YOU LICENSE IT AND I'M JUST CRYING BECAUSE YOU GUYS LICENSING THIS IS JUST A DREAM COME TRUE!"

"Man the art style is channeling so much feels from me. Very good choice by the studio, i can't wait for this to air," explained Fluffykun011 on Crunchyroll.

According to Crunchyroll, the new trailer features the official OP entitled "Seishun Satsubatsu Ron" by Sannen E-gumi Uta-tan and the ED song entitled "Hello, shooting-star" by Moumoon. The new trailer was revealed this weekend at the 2015 Jump Festa, along with the new key visual pictured above.

My Anime List describes the story of "Assassination Classroom" as follows: "A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher - an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth - unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he's the best teacher they've ever had!"
