First Look at East Williamsburg's Boring New Rental Building

66 Ainslie Street is a new rental building set to rise in the coming months in East Williamsburg, and now, Slate Property Group has provided a new rendering of the seven-story, 50-unit project. According to construction permits filed in November, the building will have 42,500 square feet of residential and retail space, plus an underground garage, a roof deck, and a fitness center. According to The Real Deal, Slate purchased the site back in September for $15 million in an off-market deal with previous owners Tavolario and Meszaros Realty Corporation.

Aufgang Architects is behind the design, which 6sqft politely says "acknowledges Williamsburg's pre-trendy industrial roots with a dark-red brick facade," but really it just looks like every other uninteresting building sprouting up in Brooklyn these days.
