May 6, 2021 — The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of Canadians. In this release, we report on hospital stays and emergency department visits for harms caused by substances such as opioids, alcohol and others.
New analyses are available on the impact of COVID-19 on harms caused by substance use, self-harm and accidental falls during the first 16 months of the pandemic (March 2020 to June 2021).
