Hi,
I have a strange behaviour in one of our systems ...
In the General Options, the _SHARED Named Path is set to C:\, but when I'm synchronizing the Library, the files/folders are stored in: C:\_Shared@{76B42FA0-035D-4315-9E3B-537B8D86E052} ...
I figured out 76B42FA0-035D-4315-9E3B-537B8D86E052 is the id of the repository, but ...
Where to change the settings, so that the Library is saved directly on C:\ and not C:\_Shared@{76B42FA0-035D-4315-9E3B-537B8D86E052} ?
Any ideas?
Regards,
Rafal
Hi Rafal
You cannot achieve what you resquest.
As it is always possible with Powerdesigner to conect to several repositories, PD we must place each repository library in a different folder.
You will always have this folder including the ID of the repository to identify the connection.

Hi Rafal
First, the list of name path is not showing _SHARED. In a normal setup you cannot remove _SHARED. You can be in this situation by modifying the registry by hand which is more than not recommended.
Second, from my testing if you completely remove the _SHARED named path, then library are synchronized in C:\ProgramData\PowerDesigner 16
Third, the named paths you have highlighted is not in relation with library synchronization and have been defined by the user.

Hi Veronique,
so, you think there is something wrong with the installation as _SHARED is missing?
If so, we have to go back to SAP as they installed the system and prepared the software packages ...
Without this _SHARED Named Path it's storing the Library on my C drive. This is why the highlighted folders refers to C:\<something>

Rafal
