Kurt Warner, Junior Seau among 2015 semifinalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame

Warner and Seau are just two of the 26 eligible semifinalists up for induction in Canton.

Quarterback Kurt Warner and linebacker Junior Seau were among the 26 names mentioned on Tuesday as the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio revealed the list of 26 semifinalists vying for induction among the Class of 2015.

Players on the ballot for the first time include Seau, Warner and several of the quarterback's former teammates with the St. Louis Rams, including tackle Orlando Pace and wide receivers Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.

The complete list of 26 players:

The total class can only number eight at most, but only five from the modern era can be inducted, which means there's still a long process ahead for the potential candidates. A vote in January will bring the total number of candidates down to 15, and a final vote will be held on Jan. 31, 2015, the day before Super Bowl 49 kicks off.

In addition to the five modern era players, the Hall will also vote on one potential seniors nominee in Mick Tingelhoff and two names in the new contributors category in former Packers general manager Ron Wolf and Bill Polian, former GM for the Bills and Colts.
