LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Steven Allen Steiger, 30, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 9, Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 23 of over the limit – steelhead and sentenced to $280 in fines and costs.

– Raymond Robert-Allen Phenix, 17, of 8916 225th Ave., Reed City, was found guilty Oct. 23 of attempting to snag – fishing devices/hooks and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.

– Christopher Todd Bower, 44, of 7160 E. US-10, Fountain, was found guilty Oct. 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.

– Muehlenbec Traci Bergles, 43, of 501 E. Council Tr., Mount Prospect., Ill., was found guilty Oct. 20 of improper load or towing;spill; no cover and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Ryan Philip Baker, 29, of 2730 Granada Dr., Apt. 2A, Jackson, was found guilty Oct. 27 of open intoxicants in motor vehicle – passenger and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Brian Nicholas Ostwald, 23, of 27 Elliott St., Apt. 27, Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $335 in fines and costs.

– Demarco Antonio Griggs, 22, of 400 W. Third St., Apt. 411, Scottville, was found guilty of driving while license expired. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Carlton Kurt Brower, 52, of 2131 W. US-10, Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 7 of retaining a foul hooked fish and sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.

– Kristina Mackenzie Haynes, 34, of 608 5th St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 7 of allowing a stray dog and sentenced to $160 in fines and costs.

– Travis Alan Vorase, 20, of 309 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 9 of driving while license expired and sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Lucas Paul Andrews-Taylor, 19, of 2365 N. Tuttle Rd., Scottville, was found guilty of driving while unlicensed/never applied and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– William Glenn Eggelston, 67, of 4859 E. Stark Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Oct. 10 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to $335 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.

– Samuel Raymond Hogan, 47, of 16101 Roaring Brook Dr., Hersey, was found guilty Oct. 13 of attempting to snag a fish and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.

– Meagan Verona Krupinski, 31, of 5782 Bryant Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 16 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Gregory Blake Wilson, 29, of 1186 Pineway St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 16 of improper plates, failure to transfer and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– James Warren Howe III, 39, of 2544 E. Johnson Rd., Custer, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security Oct. 21. “The interests of justice do not require further prosecution of this matter at this time,” court records state.

– Zachary Scott Austin, 27, of 361 N. Northwood Dr., Branch, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed Oct. 14.  “The ends of justice do not require further prosecution of this matter,” court records state.
