Old and new PowerDesigner Portal

Hello all,

My last version of PowerDesigner and PowerDesigner Portal was 16.5. I updated to 16.5 SP4. The upgrade was ok but I noted that the PowerDesigner Portal updated to the new one and I lost the old one. During the upgrade, nothing is asked for me about "rewrite" the PowerDesigner Portal. I saw that the documentation of SP4 still show the older portal.

For purposes of performance, I want to install the old Portal. Is it possible? How can I do that? Uninstall the Portal and install again?

Hi Bruno,

Both CMR and WebPortal are installed with the SP04. You can access the "old" portal with the <url>/cmr

You can find more information in the readme.html file.

This version of PowerDesigner comes with two repository Web clients, as the new PowerDesigner Web is released to supercede the existing PowerDesigner Portal. Both PowerDesigner web clients will be installed by PowerDesigner Portal setup 16.5 SP04.

In case of update, the existing Portal will be updated and the new portal will be installed.

You can access the Web clients at the following addresses:

     PowerDesigner Web: <server-name>:<port-number>/powerdesigner-web

     The default port number is 3030.

     PowerDesigner Portal: <server-name>:<port-number>/cmr

     The default port number is 3030.

Hello Marc,

Thanks for the response. I already read this part of the tutorial... the problem is that i didn't install the Portal but updated it. Initially I accessed the cmr Portal normally. When I updated, this Portal was replaced with the new one. In the Tomcat apps, the folder "cmr" doesn't exist anymore.

The portal must be at the same level as the repository it is using.  If you upgraded the repository database to 16.5.x, then the portal must be at that level.
