Bundles of Love seeks volunteers

Bundles of Love, a Rochester-based, non-profit, is seeking volunteers who can knit, crochet or sew to help in their efforts of creating bundles of clothes and supplies for new mothers and babies in need.

The bundles, valued around $140, come with various supplies, including a quilt, blanket, diaper bag, crib sheet, birth cloths, bibs, car seat covers, diapers, body wash, baby wipes, onesies, and a toy. Bundles of Love serves around 20 organizations in the Rochester, Chatfield, St. Charles, Winona, and Spring Valley areas. They made more than 400 bags last year.

Bundles of Love meets every Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Assisi Heights on the second floor to sew. Pickup for completed items is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. Volunteers work at the meetings and also can take supplies to work from home.

Donations of any type of material for the baby items are welcome, as is help organizing and cutting material.
