Singer Katherine Jenkins has married Andrew Levitas, the American film director and artist, during a hush-hush ceremony at London’s Hampton Court Palace.
The Welsh mezzo-soprano had kept the big occasion a secret, until she tweeted her 294,000 fans on Saturday with a message about her “special day.” She wrote, “Thank you for all your love & support. It’s already been such a special day & wanted to share my happiness with you.” The couple had been dating for less than a year, and the date of the wedding was a well-kept secret until hours before the big day.

According to the BBC, a harpist played on as guests were treated to a wedding breakfast featuring a range of Welsh produce, including local cheeses, black beef and lamb, and her nation’s flag was raised at the historic venue.
The singer was previously engaged to Cardiff-born television presenter Gethin Jones, though the pair reportedly separated in early 2012.
