Ebola outbreak: UN security council to hold emergency session

The UN Security Council has announced it will hold an emergency session on Thursday to discuss international efforts to contain the Ebola epidemic.

Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea are the worst-hit countries in an outbreak that has killed more than 2,400 people.

The president of Ghana has called for the easing of restrictions on West African countries after measures such as flight bans had damaged regional economies.
