Elton Brand has agreed to re-sign upon a one-year, $2 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 15-year veteran will re-join the Hawks for a second year after playing 73 games for the team last season, averaging 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds in 19.4 minutes per game.

Brand, 35, will continue to supply the young Hawks with veteran knowledge and interior physicality. However, with Mike Scott and Pero Antic gradually developing and the drafting of power forward Adreian Payne, Brand may see a reduced role this season.

In addition to 73 games during the season, Brand showed up in all 7 games of the playoffs for the Hawks, where they came close to upsetting the number one seeded Indiana Pacers. However, Brand was a non-factor during that series, averaging just 1.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in limited minutes.

The Atlanta Hawks have had a pleasant off-season and with Elton Brand on board, their roster now stands at 15.
