Liam Hemsworth threw a wrecking ball in Miley Cyrus’ life nearly one year ago when they called it quits. Now, the 21-year-old singer is saying there’s still love between them.
“I love Liam,” Cyrus said on Australia’s TV show “Sunday Night” recently, according to the Daily Mail.
According to the “Bangerz” singer, Hemsworth echoes her lasting admiration.
“Liam loves me,” she added.
While she was candid about her feelings for Hemsworth, she wouldn’t fess up to having written her hit ballad “Wrecking Ball” about the Aussie actor.
“It’s about finding yourself,” she said. “I had to set myself free.”
Cyrus confirmed their breakup to the Daily News and other media outlets on Sept. 16, 2013.
The end of their two-year engagement followed the pop star’s raunchy onstage performance at MTV’s VMAs with Robin Thicke, which Hemsworth was reportedly “disgusted” by.
Shortly after they parted ways, the “Hunger Games” star was seen cozying up to Mexican telenovela star Eiza Gonzalez.
Cyrus has since been linked to music producer Mike Will Made It.
