Stephen King Collection

Hello readers!

Today I introduce you to my Stephen King collection.  Recently I set up my new shelf and I've had fun organizing all my scary reads,
and some of my Funko Pop collection.

(We still need to move the wall decor from behind the shelf)

Back in the Spring I decided that I wanted to start collecting the hard cover versions of the Stephen King novels.  And since I've made that decision I have found very little of his works second hand.  So, most of my collection is paperback, and bought new.  Sharing this shelf, for the time being, is the Lars Kepler - Hypnotist series, which I won't get into here.

Out of my collection, this is what I've read:
- Gerald's Game
- Pet Sematary
- 'Salem's Lot
- Mr. Mercedes
- The Stand (missing from shelf...where is this one?!?)

Not read:
- Dolores Claiborne
- Bag Of Bones
- IT
- Outsider
- End of Watch
- Finders Keepers
- Cell
- Just After Sunset
- Storm of the Centry

Read, but do not own:
- Different Seasons
- Revival

Which is your favorite Stephen King novel?  I look forward to reading your opinions :)

Later Days,
Jen

Maternity Leave - thus far

Life with a newborn is busy, but honestly - I thought that I would be busier. The weather this Fall has been amazing! It's making is easier to get out with the little guy - walking, shopping, playgroup and movies. There is so much to do and it's how I break up the days. We're grateful that there is a family resource center close by that has free drop-in activities for infants, toddlers and up. Meeting new moms who have a little one close to the age of mine is fantastic. Aside from socializing with other adults (which you miss when not going to work daily), you get to ask questions, share experiences, and get to know people that you may be seeing throughout the school year when the littles are older.  And, our movie theater has baby and parent movies every week. There are two new movie offerings each Wednesday morning, and the movie starts at a decent time - which allows time to get me and the little ready for the day and out the door.  Maternity leave here in Ca

Harry Potter - Which house do you belong in?

Consider this a heads-up.  This is a Harry Potter related post.  I'm a fan, a late-to-the-party fan, but a fan all the same. I didn't grow-up reading the novels, or watching the movies.  All of my Harry Potter experience is from adulthood. (This post contains affiliated links.  Meaning that I may collect a share of the sales or other compensation from the Amazon links on this page.)   I'm since read all of the novels (bought the pretty box set to display on my bookshelf), watched the movies, collected some display items and puzzles, and visited Universal Studios in Florida. All of my Harry Potter, Universal Studios, park pictures have one thing in common - I'm holding a delicious, frozen butterbeer! **Teaser**  This trip will be featured in a future post. To start, which house have you been sorted into by the Pottermore website?  I'm a Slytherin . Although, I've retaken the quiz, because this sorting was from a few years ago, and I was sorted into a

Organization - The "hows", the "whys" and my tools of the trade

My life is busy - well, I consider it to be that way.  I work full time (regular business hours), take a university course per semester (working towards my degree), help run a household/take care of pets, keep up with family/friends/hobbies, book club, and now I've started this blog.  And, that's just the scheduled things, not the pop-up events that appear throughout the year.  Keeping up with all of the demands can be daunting, but it can be done with a little organization. This post will note include my work schedule and meetings due to the confidential nature of my work duties. Only my "after regular business hours" life. My tools of the trade are as follows:  - Planner (this years planner is a Bando planner) - a fun notebook (Chapters) - the calendar app in my cell phone - an assortment of colorful pens (Chapters or Michaels Crafts?). Planner This is my first time both purchasing a planner, and using a planner, since high school. And, while I've
