Alabama authorities flushed out public enemy No. 1 — a father and son duo suspected of strolling into the men’s bathroom at restaurants and stealing metal parts from urinals.

Birmingham Police investigators caught the pair on Thursday morning after their crime spree left fast food joints without flush valves and supply lines to their the urinals, according to The Birmingham News.

The two men have not been identified by authorities, but their photos were taken at several scrap yards where they allegedly sold the stolen parts.

The photos were shared with several law enforcement agencies to locate the suspects. The arresting officer recognized a vehicle from the photos taken at the scrap yards and pulled the men over.

The latest theft on Tuesday uncovered the crime spree at additional restaurants in the area such as Arby’s, Waffle House and McDonald’s.

The stolen parts did not contain any copper, a metal commonly stolen from construction sites and electrical facilities sold for drug cash. The stolen parts would have little to no scrap value, Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian told the newspaper.
