Reports coming from Italy today suggest that Juventus representatives recently met with Didier Drogba’s entourage to enquire about the Ivory Coast striker’s availability.

Drogba, 36, joined Galatasaray in January 2013 on an 18-month contract and is free to discuss a potential move elsewhere with his current deal set to expire in the summer.

According to Mediaset, Juventus arranged the meeting in order to explore the possibility of Drogba leaving Turkey this summer and to enquire about the potential terms of any deal.

While Drogba’s age means that his arrival at the club would only represent a relatively short-term addition to the side’s current attacking options, the Ivory Coast international has demonstrated that he is still a potent force at the highest level.

With 14 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions so far this term, Drogba has had a productive season and his signature could represent an astute piece of business for the reigning Serie A champions.
