Sen. Whitehouse to host South Kingstown community dinner

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse will host a community dinner for constituents in South Kingstown, on Wednesday.

It's scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Belmont Avenue.

Residents can bring their questions, concerns and comments to the senator.

Whitehouse will also discuss his work in Washington to promote small businesses and job growth, and his efforts to protect unemployment insurance for those struggling to find work.

Other discussion topics include the effects of climate change on the environment and the local economy.
