PROVIDENCE — Tea party members in Rhode Island rallied on Tuesday, the same day income taxes are due.
The political movement that calls on the government to follow the Constitution held its annual rally at the State House.
The tea party uses tax day, when Americans are sending their own money to the government, to emphasize its message to make the bureaucracy of government smaller.
The Rhode Island Tea Party is also calling for a lower sales tax and elimination of straight-ticket voting.
