Japanese Car Carrier Collides with Navy Ships

The Brunei Times reports that a Japanese ship collided into two Royal Brunei Navy vessels yesterday after losing maneuverability whilst approaching Muara Port.

The 172m Ro-Ro ship Trans Future 2, owned by a Japanese company and registered in Panama, was carrying imported vehicles when the incident happened at approximately 8.40am on Monday local time.

The collision caused structural damage to the left side of one of the vessels. No injuries were reported.

A detailed investigation is under way.
