The Angels have reached an agreement with the Ortopaedic Specialty Institutute and surgeons Dr. Robert Grumet and Dr. Michael Shepard. The Angels longtime orthopedist, Dr. Lewis Yocum, died last year.
Grumet, who earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from USC, has also worked with the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and several colleges.
Shepard, who graduated from UC Davis and UCLA medical school, is the team physician for the USA men’s and women’s volleyball teams. He has also worked at UC Irvine, Chapman University, Santa Ana Junior College and multiple high schools.
