Mike Trout is a finalist for the AL MVP for the second consecutive year, although he is again expected to come up short. Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is a favorite to win the award for the second year in a row.

Trout hit .323 with 27 homers and 97 RBI. He led the league 109 runs and 110 walks.

Cabrera hit .348, winning his third straight batting title. He also hit 44 homers and drove in 137 runs. He led the league with .442 on-base percentage and a .636 slugging percentage.

Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles is the other finalist.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 14.
