Angels Manager Mike Scioscia and general manager Jerry Dipoto remain in the same limbo as they have been throughout the first week of the offseason. As of this afternoon, there has still been no word from the club about whether either will return to his job for the next season.

Scioscia has five years remaining on his contract and Dipoto has one year left on his. Although the Angels technically would not have to make any formal announcement if they were keeping both, it is believed the organization would do so to end the public speculation.

The Angels’ fourth consecutive season out of the postseason has sparked rumors that either Scisocia or Dipoto might be let go. As each day passes without the announcement of a change, there is a growing belief that Scioscia and Dipoto will be back.

Owner Arte Moreno, who ultimately will make the call on both men, has not responded to repeated interview requests from Southern California media outlets.
