It’s the last MLB game at Angel Stadium for more than six months, and Mike Trout’s not playing.

The 22-year-old outfielder is sitting out the home finale as Manager Mike Scioscia attempts to get him back on track heading into the final series of the season in Texas.

Trout served as the designated hitter last night and went 0-for-3 with a walk. He has only one multi-hit game since Sept. 6 as his average has dropped from a season-high .338 to .324.

Back in the lineup to catch Jered Weaver in his final start of the season is Chris Iannetta. Josh Hamilton’s slotting back into the designated hitter role after he recorded a key assist starting in center field last night.

Kole Calhoun makes his debut as a No. 3 hitter.

As for Thursday’s scheduled starter in Texas, right-hander Jerome Williams remains on track to start despite a sore foot. If he can’t make it, Scioscia said rookie Matt Shoemaker would be a logical candidate to make the spot start.

Here are the lineups for today’s 12:35 p.m. start, as right-hander Dan Straily goes for Oakland:
