Tea Party FtL

Tea Party Fort Lauderdale is the longest-running weekly tea party in America and meets every Saturday from 1-3 pm at the corner of Oakland Park & US1 in Fort Lauderdale, FL!

We are patriots who want to protect the freedoms we have. We discourage party politics. Nobody organized us, gives us a dime, or urged us to get out there. We are the mob, the un-Americans, the deathers and the birthers, the demagogues, the astro-turfers, and all the rest of the names that some politicians are promoting for those who believe in the very American right to dissent. How long will we be on our corner? As long as we have to!

The Tea Party’s principles are simple and clear:
  • Smaller federal government
  • Lower taxes
  • Fiscal responsibility
  • National security
  • Federalism
Think we are all Republican conservatives? Read this survey that shows us as 66% conservative, 26% moderate and 8% liberal. If you've bought into our demonization by the lame-street media and progressive blogs you'll find that even that is changing in this article.

We gather at the corner of Oakland Park Boulevard and Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, FL every Saturday from 1-3 PM, rain or shine. Please join us, bringing, if you can, signs or flags or just yourselves. Here's a map! Now, for all the news, move on to our primary web site

On major issues, 48% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is closer to their views than President Barack Obama. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 44% hold the opposite view and believe the president’s views are closer to their own.
Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly feel closer to the Tea Party and most Democrats say that their views are more like Obama’s. Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 50% say they’re closer to the Tea Party while 38% side with the President.

'Riot Is the Voice of the Unheard' - Tea-party foe Maxine Waters once made excuses for real political violence... While the anti-ObamaCare protests were boisterous--perhaps even "outrageous," as Rep. Waters says--they were not violent. There were a scattering of phone threats and acts of vandalism on both sides, but nothing even remotely resembling a riot… The tea-party protesters are angry, and as Maxine Waters said in 1992, it's OK to be angry. But she has no business lecturing anyone on political civility.
