Jury indicts Millville woman in attack on police

BRIDGETON – Dorothy V. Plummer, 68, of East Oak Street in Millville is under indictment for aggravated assault on a Millville police officer.

A Cumberland County grand jury last week indicted Plummer on an alleged June 29 attempt to injure Officer Ricardo Ramos. A police report said the incident occurred on North High Street and involved thrown bodily fluids.

In another case, a Vineland man was indicted on charges of eluding arrest and resisting arrest in an incident in Millville on Nov. 28, 2015.

Police stopped a vehicle driven by Dorian J. Butler, 28, of Hamilton Drive after a chase. Butler then unsuccessfully tried to flee on foot. At the time, he was sought on county Superior Court warrants.
