Can I bind mousebutton 4?

Hi,

Currently using AutoCad 2011LT and was wondering if I can bind my "mousebutton 4" to line command.

^C^C_Line

Since it wont allow me to bind it the "normal" way as in specify shortkey by pressing it, I was wondering if there is a macro to specify it.

Thanks!

/Adam

Have you tried assigning this to the Mouse Button in the CUI?

(You've written the macro)

Charles momentarily lapsed 🙂 AutoCAD only addresses three mouse buttons. To do more with others your mouse driver must assign the extra buttons to a keyboard button; then you can assign that keyboard button in LT using CUI to do what you wish. Note that mouse button will be assigned to that keyboard button in all apps.

So pretty much what I have to do is to configure my mousebutton 4 so it works like a shortcut for a key on my keyboard.

Example: Bind "K" to C^C^_Line and "K" is binded to mousebutton 4?

Did I get it right?

You adding button 4 for example to F12 key, then assign F12 in the CUI to the command you want. Avoid letter keys: you do know L starts line command, right? Letter shortcuts can be assigned in your PGP file.

Yeah I know Smiley Tongue, but mousebutton 4 would be so much more comfortable, and clicking "L" 2000 times a day is a bit tiring.

How do I that?

Umm...? Smiley Tongue

Where is this "PGP" file located?

Thanks!

PGP file editing:

Editing keyboard shortcuts in CUI command in LT, many topics, choose the keyboard shortcut your mouse driver is able to assign to your mouse buttons:
