Earth Hour New York: Skyline Goes Dark, Kind Of

This time the blackout was for a good reason.

Unlike the great New York City blackout of 1977 (and the one in 2003), buildings went dark Saturday as part of Earth Hour 2010.

From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., buildings all across town from the Empire State Building to the neon lights of Broadway were dimmed to support action on climate change.
