Deputy sheriff arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A state deputy sheriff accused of abusing his wife is scheduled to appear in Family Court in Honolulu next month.
Police on Saturday arrested James S. Kimura, 44, at his Kalama Valley home on suspicion of abuse of family or household member. Sources say he is accused of choking his wife.
The deputy is assigned to the Circuit Court building in Honolulu.
Kimura was charged with the misdemeanor, and then released from police custody after posting $1,000 bail.
