9th Annual Fast & Furriest 5K/1M
The 9th Annual Fast & Furriest 5K race and 1M walk to benefit Operation Paws for Homes - an all-breed 501c3 dog rescue - is the rescue's 2nd biggest annual fundraiser focused on raising funds toward the medical needs of our dogs.
In 2023, Operation Paws for Homes incurred over $125,000 in medical costs. This event aims to replenish a piece of those funds. We encourage families, runners, walkers, supporters and anyone interested in helping this organization while enjoying a fun event. Along with a silent auction and raffles, vendors will be greeting you as they, too, support OPH. As always, we welcome your leashed dogs to run or walk the course, too!
Like last year, this year's event is both live and virtual! So tell all your friends and family - wherever they are located - they, too, can participate in this event. Let's make it coast to coast! We are excited to include virtual options again and we hope you are just as excited to join us !

Mount Airy, MD - Doggy Noses and Yoga Poses
It's a a day for moms with puppy yoga and mimosas! Join us as we present a Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses event to benefit Operation Paws for Homes! Adoptable dogs will roam on the class floor to allow for doggy cuddles during this one-hour mixed level yoga class.
You do the yoga–the rescue pups do the cuddles! Adorable rescue dogs and puppies will be allowed to ROAM FREELY and interact with you during this one-hour mixed level yoga class, so be prepared to get puppy kisses! Tickets include the yoga class led by certified yoga instructor Sheri Miller plus a complimentary mimosa, glass of select wine, Red Shedman pint (for guests age 21 and over), or non-alcoholic beverage after the class!
