We are seeking an experienced reporter who can attend three 75-minute presentations at an urban planning conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 7:15 to 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Duties would be to attend each specified presentation, take photos (head shots) of the presenter(s), gather their contact information, acquire their presentation slides (if available) and write a 1,300- to 1,800-word article about each presentation. The three articles/sessions are: 1) "Measuing Sustainability: What and Why," 2) a keynote address by Andrew Weaver, an expert on the science of climate change, and 3) "Life Cycle Assessment of Transportation Options." We are an online trade magazine that provides municipal governments with quality and timely information about sustainability. Only experienced reporters/writers in the Los Angeles area should submit a bid. Experience reporting on sustainability, urban planning, local government or green infrastructure is a plus, but not required.
