Want money! Work for it!

Think it sounds harsh? You wouldn't belief what people let slip by because they don't want to put the effort into getting what is offered to them!

Rescue is expensive! And sometimes Fundraisers and Donations are not enough! But if you are a legitimate rescue, there are other options for you out there! BUT, you have to ask for help yourself! Nobody will do it for you!

I can't tell you how to write applications for grants, but I can tell you to write them! I've seen grants do amazing things!
If you are familiar with Raleigh, North Carolina, you know how large this city is. Last year one of the local rescue organizations received a grant to spay/neuter three entire zip codes in that city! THREE ENTIRE ZIP CODES!

PetSmart Charities offers three types of grants for Spay/Neuter programs alone! Pedigree Foundation provides grants for Non-Profit rescues! The list is endless!

An organization I worked for received a grant to provide transportation for a local government program that helps disabled people and others to receive job training and other types of education. The grant bought multiple vehicles and paid for expenses/manning to run the program for an entire year! Ever thought about using something like that to provide transportation for animals from local shelters to rescues?

The list below is not restrictive to animals. I just looked up major organizations and found a lot of stuff that applies to education, animal rescue and much, much more!

It wouldn't be to hard to research and find a ton of grants you can apply for! Some of the larger organization may be able to give you information too! IMPORTANT is that you don't sit there and wait for the money to come to you or for your rescue or other organization to have to close its doors! Go out there and find the means to keep going! Your work is important!
