Daily homes & gardens tip: The art of hanging art over furniture

Hanging art can be a challenge. Here are some tips to help you when the art is being placed above  furniture.

The objective is unity. Keep art and furniture close together; avoid hanging art too high and too far away.

Have the art duplicate the size and shape of the furniture. For example, don't hang a single tall vertical piece of art over the horizontal shape of a sofa.

You might, however, group three pieces of art horizontally above and the same width as your sofa.
