  • Claims dressing room door was opening and shutting unaided
  • He films himself walking into the dressing room, but no one is there
  • The footage shows a ghostly shadow passing through the wall

An Argentine security guard has revealed the moment he captured a 'ghost' haunting a football stadium in the capital Buenos Aires.

Raul Arguello, 32, had ventured below the bleachers of Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium to investigate a dressing room door which had been repeatedly opening and slamming shut.

He was filming on his mobile phone in the hopes of catching the culprits on camera, however - when he opens the door, no one is there.

Instead, he unknowingly captures the fleeting instant a spectre quickly passes along the benches, crossing the video frame from left to right and disappearing through the wall.

Mr Arguello says he did not see the apparition himself, and only noticed it hours later when he checked the video footage on his phone.

The video starts with Mr Arguello saying he is filming to to prove he is 'telling the truth' about the door opening and shutting in the stadium, which is home to Atlético Huracán, a first division club in the Argentinean championship.

'It's eleven o'clock at night and it's the third time I've heard this banging noise,' Mr Arguello says.

'I don't know what's going on but I'm going to film it to show people later on, so they believe it when I tell them because this has never happened to me before. It's terrifying.'

There it goes: His mobile phone footage sees a mystery black 'ghost' move through the changing room

Pointing his camera towards the narrow staircase leading to the dressing rooms he descends the steps with his flashlight in hand.

At first the persistent hammering noise is only in the background and sounds muffled, but as he reaches the bottom it escalates into a thunderous din.

Rounding the corner to the brightly illuminated underground sector, it soon becomes clear what is causing the commotion.

A basement changing room door is being jerked open then violently slammed shut again and again, pulled by an unknown force inside the room.

Picking up a metal bar resting on a wall and edging hesitantly towards the daunting spectacle the petrified man curses loudly as he pushes open the door and bursts into the room.

'See no one is here,' he declares in a panicked tone.

'How can nothing be doing this? It's the third time I've entered here because of this noise and there's nothing… no one.'

Mr Arguello films the empty room as proof, spinning around to document every inch of space as he speaks.

As the camera briefly rests on a bench on the far-right wall, a shadowy spectre breaks cover and scurries from left to right across the screen disappearing into the wall.

Oblivious to what has just happened, the watchman continues to film the room.

Taking sharp intakes of breath, he vows 'Oh God, I'm going to leave. I want to go.'

The married father of two exits the haunted room and has since confirmed he was so stressed from the encounter which happened on April 3, that he handed in his notice and found a different security job.

Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium was contacted for a comment but did not respond.
