Notes from the Winemaker

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced primarily from vineyards in Atlas Peak and Saint Helena. These two vineyards bookend the spectrum of our Cabernet portfolio and are the perfect counterpoint to one another. Wolf Family Vineyard on the valley floor in Saint Helena produces wines with dark berry fruits, soft tannins and rich mouthfeel. Hendrickson Family Vineyard in Atlas Peak is highlighted by its vibrant natural acidity, grippy tannins and more red toned fruit flavors and aromatics. The two sites create a harmonious base, while small percentages of wines from Rutherford, Oakville and Oak Knoll create nuance and complexity.
