Upgraded the garlic naan for a buck. Well worth it. $17.99 for a lunch special. Always delicious and relaxing atmosphere!

As always, the food remains the best Indian Food I've ever had. There is plenty of chicken in the chicken tikka masala to share. The naan is always so fresh and nicely seasoned. The service is good and the staff is always very nice. The restaurant is always clean. Don't have a picture because we were so excited to dig in, we forgot to take any!

I recently went with my friend and we both agreed it was the best Indian food we'd ever had! Staff was so kind, and we even enjoyed the complimentary papadum and the 3 sauces that came with it. We were even given more rice to take home with us, which was so nice. We will definitely be back! (Highly recommend: butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, vegetable pakoras and samosas, and garlic naan)

Good food but too expensive. No atmosphere and slow service. Better Indian restaurants in Arlington and Bedford.

They do buffets here for lunch which is really cool during the weekday I'm not sure about the weekends. The food is good and they have these little mango drinks that come in those copper cups, that is so delicious.

Virsa is a first class Indian restaurant! The food is hot and fresh, but the service is outstanding!
I took my 3 kids - picky eaters - and Prathap went over the top to ensure we were taken care of. I also ordered food to go and everything was hot & fresh. The garlic naan, which is amazing, is made when you order.
This is my favorite restaurant! Great food and even better service!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 25, 2021
Ordered takeaway from here for the first time. Hubby and I ordered the chili paneer, the chili chicken, and the Peshawari naan. Total came out to around $45 (without tip).
What's Hot
- Menu variety. Pretty good variety and there seems to be something for everyone- meats, vegetarians, vegan, and desserts.
- Quality. The chili chicken was delicious. The chicken was nice and tender. The peshwari naan was tasty, as well. You could taste the slight sweetness, especially the coconut. My chili paneer had a decent amount of other veggies, like bell peppers and onions, which added to the flavor.
- Portions. Pretty good size portions. The rice was in a large Chinese takeaway container, which was helpful for my husband and I to share. We also appreciated that it wasn't already with our dishes, because the rice would get soggy. Good size portions to get you full, as well.
- Service. We ordered through Uber Eats before the restaurant was opened. Our food was made within a timely manner, which was helpful. They appear to communicate well with Uber Eats, because we received timely notifications when our food was ready. When we arrived for pickup, our order was ready in a bag by the front register. I confirmed the name for our takeaway order and the waiter was ready.
- Spice. In our order, we asked that they make the food spicy, which it was. It was a good level of spice for me, but not for my husband, which I address below.
What's Not
- Dry paneer. Although the flavor of my chili paneer was good, the paneer was dry and not as cheesy/moist.
- Spice. Hubby couldn't really taste the spice level very much. To be fair, he has a high tolerance, so I only add this to make people aware. If you have a high spice tolerance and you like your food really spicy, be aware that it may not be enough for you.
- Price. For a dinner for 2 to be almost $50 is kind of pricey. To be fair, they have decent size portions, but be aware that if you are hungry and/or want to try extra dishes, be ready for the tab to add up pretty quickly.
- Takeaway containers. Our food wasn't labeled, which was a little frustrating, because it was a bit difficult to tell exactly which dish was which. Given that takeaway orders are the norm right now, I always appreciate it when restaurants label the takeaway container with which dishes are which. It helps avoid confusion, especially when you're sharing dishes and/or if anyone has dietary restrictions/allergies.
- Health and safety. The waiter who assisted us in picking up our order was not wearing a mask. During this time of the pandemic, when health and safety regulations are continually fluctuating, I get that it can be uncertain. However, I appreciate it when I see restaurants taking extra precautions wearing masks, gloves, whatever in ensuring the health and safety of others.
Final Answer
Willing to come back, but may not be the first choice for Indian food.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Local E.Bedford, MA01381Aug 25, 2022
Phenomenal! I am always impressed by the excellence of their dine in food: thali (lunch combo), chicken tikka, chicken korma, ... . It is just amazing. Come to Bedford and give it a try.
One thing: if you order online from here (or their competitor a ways up the road, Holi), be sure you're actually ordering from the restaurant you intended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nancy A.Oakland, CA421Aug 19, 2023
I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. I did an online order and picked up the food and the entire process was very smooth. The pakoras and kala mirch chicken tandoori were delicious. The saag chicken was also quite good. I'm delighted to find a good Indian restaurant nearby.
