LOS ANGELES—In what will be a meeting of two of the most famous porn stars in the world, Angela White will interview Lana Rhoades at 5 p.m. PDT this coming Tuesday on Playboy’s Instagram Live.
The 30-minute interview is part of an ongoing quarantine series that Playboy has launched called “A Conversation With Angela White,” said Holly Ruprecht, associate director of subscriptions for Playboy.
White, a native of Sydney, Australia, who is the three-time and reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year, has previously interviewed fellow industry icons Joanna Angel, Sophie Dee and Tera Patrick on Playboy’s Instagram.
Rhoades, the 2018 AVN Award-winner for Best Anal Sex Scene from Chicago who has amassed more than 10 million followers on Instagram, made her porn debut in 2016.
Even though she has retired from performing in adult movies, she still creates explicit content for her social media platforms, works as a Creative Collaborator for Brazzers and owns and operates an e-commerce site called YourWilly.com that offers a variety of sexual wellness products.
"I’ve known Lana for several years and I’ve always liked her and admired her,” Ruprecht said. “Playboy understands the brand that Lana has and it’s a great brand.
“If you’re a fan of adult—not even just adult—if you’re a fan of iconic women who are business owners you should be tuning into this.
“We’re calling it Lana Rhoades Day because I think Lana Rhoades deserves her own day.”
Ruprecht said that during the interview Rhoades will be on her Instagram, while White will be going live from Playboy’s Instagram, which has 8.4M followers.
“Doing these interviews for Playboy has been both fun and rewarding,” White told AVN. “I’m finding out so much about my fellow performers that I never knew. It’s been a wonderful way to connect with people during what has been an isolating time for many.
“The fan feedback has been incredibly positive. They have appreciated the entertainment and the opportunity to get to know their favorite star on a deeper level.
“I’m excited to speak to Lana on Tuesday. Lana’s popularity was undeniable when she was performing in adult films, and she has been highly successful in managing her transition into mainstream. I’m very interested to learn about her life as a social media influencer, a Fashion Nova partner, and her very public relationship with Mike Majlak.”
