Research, Hereditary Cancer Syndrome
Dr. Yvonne Bombard is a genomics researcher at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto who is conducting public and patient engagement research to advance health technology assessment and health service delivery. She is looking for patients who have experience with a hereditary cancer syndrome (HCS; hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, Lynch Syndrome, LI Fraumeni Disease) to work with on a Genome Canada project (which is the proposal stage and not yet funded) as part of a Patient Advisory Group.

Supporting a parent, spouse, or relative to relocate from home into residential care can be very challenging. A research project at the University of Victoria, in partnership with Fraser Health, is looking to gather feedback on a tool that supports caregivers through three potential stages of the patient and family journey and features questions for caregivers to consider when making a care transition.
