IDF chief's guard discharged after attempted rape conviction
Captain Erez Efrati, a security guard in the service of IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, will be discharged from the army in two weeks after being convicted of attempted rape.
Efrati is no longer eligible for an army paycheck because he was sentenced to prison time. His sentence includes eight years in prison and a two-year conditional sentence, as well as $40,000 in damages to his 22-year old victim, whom he attacked after his bachelor's party. (Ynet)
