Talented Putney residents are being invited to improve the lives of the elderly at Ashmead Care Centre in Putney.

On June 10, the Centre will be holding an open evening for will enable people to hear about the benefits a new hobby or activity could bring to the elderly residents.

It is hoped that by bringing new faces into the care centre, the Ashmead residents will be enlivened and stimulated and regain their passion for life.

Suggestions so far for the new activities have included singing, aerobics, cooking lessons, beauty afternoons and gardening demonstrations.

The open evening will provide for individuals or groups to sign up to voluntary visit once or more in a 12 month period.
